Just Speak – On The Avenue

These are Youth-centered activities, Art therapy, Exhibits, Performing arts, Live music and Poetry slams, more. This will start on October 4th – four days weekly. Just Speak programs empower young survivors through training, workshops, and events that  increase awareness and educate the community.  This will take place at the Livernois Community Storefront 19410 Livernois Detroit 48221. This spring the Livernois Community Storefront is back in action! We will be hosting community events, short-term pop-ups, exhibits, meetings and more in the storefront space at 19410 Livernois Avenue starting in March. If you are interested in using the space or have any ideas for the storefront, please contact:

The month of September at the Livernois Community Storefront:

*Pages on Livernois will be popping up in the storefront for most of September! Keep an eye out for the opening next week! Hours will be W-Sa 10am-6pm. Stay tuned for more updates:

*THIS WEEKEND at the storefront: Ail Clothing will be popping up, along with other street wear vendors, artists and the Detroit Pop Shop. Hours will be 12-6pm, Saturday-Monday. More information:

*THIRD THURSDAY ON LIVERNOIS is September 18! Business will be open late with special events and the Livernois Community Storefront will be screening the documentary “The Great Detroit” at 7pm. Good Cakes and Bakes will host “Pastry Embarrassment,” a performance art piece illustrating the universal human condition.

*A pop-up tea shop and pop-up arts cafe will join Pages on Livernois on 9/13 and 9/21. Stay tuned on Facebook for more details and spend your weekends on Livernois!

*The DETROIT DESIGN FESTIVAL is coming back to the Ave! On Sunday September 28, DDF’s encore event will light up Livernois 12-9pm with a block party featuring design, art installations, exhibits, shopping and entertainment.
