New COVID-19 cases decline in Detroit over last ten days; Officials encourage residents to get vaccinated

Mayor Mike Duggan showed data indicating a decline in new COVID-19 cases in Detroit over the last 10 days.  Though it is good news, the Mayor still encouraged residents to get vaccinated and follow COVID safety guidelines.

How to find vaccination locations in your area

TEXT MESSAGES
Residents can now send a text to (313) 217-3732 and find three locations providing COVID-19 vaccines close to their home.

In addition, residents can go to the City’s Web site and see vaccination locations on a map.



City officials launch Motor City Makeover effort


MCM Launch 4.19.21

Motor City Makeover is one of the largest cleanup initiatives in the country with more than 30,000  volunteers each year. The Department of Neighborhoods partners with block clubs and community organizations in each City Council district to clean and beautify areas across Detroit.  This year’s effort begins on May 1 in District 1 and goes through June 12 in District 7.
