2021 PROPOSED SPEED HUMP LOCATIONS NOW AVAILABLEThe 2021 proposed speed hump locations are now available. DPW’s goal is to ensure city streets are safe for everyone and installing 4,500 speed humps across the city is one way we’re working to achieve that goal. Installation is set to begin early April (weather permitting). Contractors will be installing 4,000 asphalt speed humps, and City crews will install 500 pre-fabricated rubber speed humps.
REQUEST FOR REMOVAL There is now a one-month window for registered neighborhood block clubs and associations who may wish to request REMOVAL from the proposed list. For those groups wishing to request removal, please send location directly to your District Manager by March 31. Please note, a request for removal does not guarantee the location will be removed. The request will be vetted internally and a determination will be made. The 2021 proposed speed hump locations can be viewed here: https://detroitmi.gov/

Residents can still submit a request for a speed hump. While this request may not be fulfilled this year, it is possible this location can be considered in the future.
