DIA Project in Bagley

Ajara Alghali, the program manager at Live6, is passing information to the Bagley Community Council.

“The Detroit Institute of Arts has a program called Inside/Out, where DIA reproductions are placed in various locations in the community.  This year we are bringing it to the Live6 community.  With this said, I would like the residents to decide where the art will be placed in the neighborhood.  The turn around is quick so I will need locations this week.  Once I receive the locations, the DIA will match reproductions from their collection to the location.”

Note:  We are not able to choose the reproductions.  However, if there is an issue or if residents are against a reproduction we can make changes.

If you would like your house or business to host the reproduction art, call Bagley (313.927.2674) or email us (bagelycommunitycouncil@yahoo.com) with your name, contact details and address and photo.  The DIA will need to visit/photo each one for installation prep (and to choose images).  We will connect you to the DIA project contact Ajara Alghali.  The information is needed before March 9, 2018.

House repair help….

Rippling Hope is a non-profit ministry serving a section of Detroit with its small repairs project for homeowners. They match volunteers to homeowners with need of help  such as painting a room or installing a door..  Homeowners are responsible for providing all the materials for the repair while Rippling Hope provides the people.

Bagley has five (5) applications to match homeowners in need to the volunteers.  If interested in participating in this program, you need to be a paid member of Bagley.  Call Bagley (313.927.2674) or email us (bagelycommunitycouncil@yahoo.com) with your name, contact details and we will follow up with you.
