Over the past few months, the Marygrove Community Association has engaged in serious and vital community-building through our monthly community meetings and ongoing work in remediating vacant lots into productive green spaces in our neighborhood. Most importantly, effective community development requires partners and partnerships. On Saturday, November 11, 2023, they are excited to partner with their new neighbor and community partner, Learning, Equity, and Problem-Solving, for the Public Good or LEAPS of the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor’s Marsal Family School of Education. Bagley Community residents are invited to attend the celebratory and informational event, titled “Building Community, With Community, and In Community (in three parts),” 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Attendees will take a learning journey bus and walking tour of the neighborhoods surrounding the Marygrove campus, have lunch at a community garden, and learn about LEAPS in an interactive presentation.
Please RSVP for all three events or those you would like to attend.
