The City of Detroit is partnering with the State of Michigan to expand services to treat residents with COVID-19. Detroiters who test positive for COVID-19 at a City testing site can be evaluated and receive antiviral medication. The services are free.

If they test positive and medication is appropriate, they can receive antiviral pills at the visit. If other treatments are needed, referrals will be made to local partners. Oral medications are 90 percent effective at preventing severe illness due to COVID-19 but are only effective if treatment begins within five days of illness onset.

The Test to Treat program is currently available at Joseph Walker Williams, 8431 Rosa Parks Blvd., from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Test to Treat is only available by appointment by calling (313) 230-0505.
